Driving direction notes:

Sometimes the GPS will take you to a gate near a water tower, go back to US 1, head north.  Once you pass the Bostick BP on your left, the first road on the Right is School Rd, turn right, then right again after the railroad tracks, follow the road around the curve.  The campsite is about 3 miles down the road.  The road will turn to sand at the Richmond/Scotland Countyline.  Keep moving when driving in sand.

Coming from the north.

Hoffman is located on US 1 north of Rockingham, NC, near the SC line.

Heading South of US 1, pass through Aberdeen, Pine bluff.  Cross into Richmond County.  When you see the Welcome to Hoffman Sign, get in the left lane. You will be turning at the 2nd road on the left after this sign.  This is School Rd.  After crossing the railroad tracks, turn right onto Butler Rd and follow the curve around.  You will go about 3 miles down the road.  The road turns into sand when you get to the Richmond/Scotland County line.  The site will be on your left.  A large NC Wildlife sign is on the corner.  You may see horse trailers parked.
